Transcriptomic response and adaptation to freshwater tidal environments of the marsh plant
Tidal cycles cause water levels to fluctuate in marine and coastal environments, with an approximate 12-hour cycle. Plants in freshwater tidal habitats are exposed to periodic submergence and emergence. My research focuses on the transcriptomic and phenotypic mechanisms that enable adaptation to tidal cycles in the marsh plant Cardamine scutata, employing field transcriptomics and chronobiological analysis.
