Abstract

Molecular mechanisms of seasonal response in plants

Promoters play a crucial role in regulating gene expression in response to long-term environmental changes, enabling plants to survive under fluctuating conditions. Our field transcriptome and ChIP-seq analysis in Arabidopsis halleri identified a promoter which exhibits long-term cold responsiveness through a dynamic regulation of the repressive mark H3K27me3. We are analyzing the function of this promoter using the closely related species A. thaliana and exploring the othe regulatory factors involved in seasonal responses in A. halleri genome.
